A place name directory for Qinghai Province, China. The directory begins with a prose introduction to Qinghai Province and a guide to the organization of the directory. Both of these sections are in Chinese, Tibetan, and Mongolian languages. There is an index of place names followed by the directory proper. Each entry in the directory lists the place name in Chinese characters, the name in Tibetan or Mongolian, the name phoneticized in roman script (sometimes matching the pinyin, but not always), the feature type of the place (mountain, river, village, etc.), the county the place is in, and lastly the latitude and longitude of the place.
