A place name directory for the Tibet Autonomous Region. Entries are listed under sections corresponding to the district and county in which they exist. The entries provide the Chinese name, the feature type, the Tibetan name, a Chinese explanation of the meaning of the Tibetan name, and variant names in Chinese and Tibetan. Geographic feature types covered include administrative units such as districts, counties, townships, and villages, as well as natural features such as mountains, rivers, and passes.
