The article is a study of ancient sculptures of Ganesh in Nepal. Eighteen ancient sculptures of the Hindu god Ganesh have been discovered in the Kathmandu valley. The author tries to trace the tradition of Nepali Hindu worship of Ganesh. It discusses the shapes and structures of the sculptures and the various names, like Vinayak, of Ganesh.
