The article studies the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), which is a regional organization, from a Nepalese perspective. The charter of the organization sets the objectives of peace, freedom, social justice, and economic prosperity through mutual understanding, good neighborly relations, and meaningful cooperation in the region in order to achieve national and collective self-reliance and promote people-to-people understanding at the regional level.
