The article gives an account of the copyright system in Nepal with its advantages and disadvantages. It discusses the issue of copyright and new technologies. It presents a brief note on the legislation of copyright in Nepal. The copyright act of Nepal dates from 1965 and it was amended 32 years later in 1997 to update some of its provision in conformity with present needs. (Rajeev Ranjan Singh 2007-03-07)
