In this article the author relates some of the oral narratives of the Nyingma (rnying ma) master Longchen Rapjampa (klong chen rab 'byams pa) late in his life during his time in Bhutan. It is said that he stayed in the village of Samling in Bumthang, and the people of the village still maintain stories of his activities in the area more than 600 years afterward.
