Abstract: (Show)

This article presents seasonal migratory trading patterns of the population of Baragaon. The study areas are villages located in the Kagbeni and Muktinath panchayats in the central part of Mustang district, Nepal. It includes a profile of the total population along with the trading population. Data collected is also represented in graphs and figures. The article investigates the extent to which trading and non-trading are related to wealth in land. The author argues that the subject of seasonal migration is of considerable relevance in a developing countries, since it is desirable to prevent over population in cities.
