The transfiguration of ontology through structural coupling, an autopoesis of ego and mediation, produces consequent large-scale changes in human culture. The Web is assuming the role of the collective mind of humanity; soon all of our "knowing" will be in reference to it. Interaction with our artifacts makes us inseparable from them; our tools inform our ontology.
