These biographies of Shariputra and Maudgalyayana were compiled from Tibetan source material by Acharya Samten Gyatso Lepcha and translated into English by Thupten Tenzing. Both the Tibetan text and English translation are presented. The entire issue of Bulletin of Tibetology, 1997, number 3, was devoted to this work. (Ben Deitle 2006-01-16)
