This is a summary, with select passages translated, of the text Brag dkar bkra shis sdings kyi sku 'bum mthong ba rang grol gyi dkar chag mdor bsdus don gsal me long. The text is a register of contents (dkar chag) of a stupa built at Tashiding (bkra shis sdings), Sikkim. In the introduction, Mullard summarizes of the life of Namkha Jikmé (nam mkha' 'jigs med), the author of the text, with a focus on the political and religious motivations for his journey to Sikkim where he was instrumental in the creation of a new religious kingdom.
