The article attempts to show that Doti, a place with a long history in Nepal, was among the Baisi rajya. Doti was known as Devatavi in ancient days. The article discusses the gradual change of its name from Devatavi to Doti. The article discusses on the history of the place from ancient period to modern Nepal.
