Bowl carrying case

Karshup (dish case) refers to a special container found in nomadic areas. In nomadic regions,  it is rare to find items that are made of clay, as almost everything is made of skin. As a result, tableware, particularly crockery, and fragile glassware are considered valuable. Furthermore, people traditionally think breaking a bowl or glass brings bad luck or is a bad omen, thus people take good care of their bowls. This may be the reason behind the saying, "a bowl is worth the price of a yak." Understanding the importance of bowls, one must learn to take good care of them. During frequent relocations, nomads use karshup to protect fragile crockery. Most karshup are made of skin.
