Sheep knuckle bone game

Gadeu refers to sheep knucklebones, which have been used for divination and astrology. It is also a children’s toy in nomadic areas. In the past, the lhaba burned the sheep knucklebone and other livestock bones as a vital tool for performing divinations. As nomad children tended to have limited access to toys, sheep knucklebones were collected and gradually became a part of various games played in the nomadic regions. In agricultural areas, there is a children’s game in which children throw five pebbles on the ground and collect one after another; nomadic children play the same game, but use sheep knucklebones instead.
