Leather shoes
Kolham is a type of special boot that is made from livestock skin. The hair or fleece must be scraped off the skin when making such boots. These boots keep the wearer warm in winter, and are sported by monks, elders and young people alike. The sole of the boot is made from many layers of cloth or leather and the shaft is wide and long. Such boots are not water resistant, so if the boot becomes soaked with water, it is hard to dry and difficult to wear due to stiffness. There are three kinds of kholam: men’s, women’s and children’s kolham.
