Tanned hide
Pakpa nyepa is a type of skin or hide that is ready for human use. In nomadic areas, livestock are killed not only by human beings, but also by wolves or from natural causes. Regardless of the manner of death, the animal's skins will be kept and processed, and are tanned and folded before storing. Tripe used for storing butter, skin bags for storing grain, and the tanned hide are all considered assets in addition to the livestock. The difference between pakpa neypa and kowa nyema is that pakpa neypa has had the hair removed and has been tanned, and kowa nyema is untreated and still has the hair attached.
