In this article, Richardson gives an account of some of the history and notable figures of the Armenian diaspora in South Asia from the fourteenth to nineteenth centuries. Armenian merchants and traders had established themselves in Lhasa by the seventeenth century. (Ben Deitle 2005-11-01)
