Adjectival Suffixes
Generally speaking, adjectives strongly resemble verbs and may even be “conjugated” with certain auxiliary verbs. Adjectives usually consist of a radical and a suffix, or else a doubled radical.
There are a number of suffixes that specify the degree of the adjective. These include:
- པོ་ Positive
- པ་ Comparative
- ཤོས་ Superlative and intensive
- པ་ལ་ Admirative
- དྲགས་ Excessive
- ཙམ་ Attenuative
- ཐག་ཆོད་ or སའི་ Intensives
- ལོས་ Interrogative
- Expressive suffixes
