Cultural Event

Bhutanese communities in all parts of the country have a great number of public events when the people get together to part take in events for celebration or religious observances. These public events help cement the community relationships and strenghten its solidarity through undertaking common projects such as worshiping a village deity or observing a festival. These are occasions for transmitting the old traditions and customs and developing a strong local identity and sense of belonging. Most events are of religious and spiritual nature while some are purely worldly festivities.
