Tongue-twister
Many Bhutanese languages have tongue twisters which are made of different but related words and phrases which are difficult to pronounce in rapid speech. The tongue twisters not only serve their purpose in testing a person's linguistic skill but also serve as exercises for pronunciation and as humourous speech. With the decline in the use of local Bhutanese languages, the knowledge and use of tongue twisters in the local languages is also in serious decline.
