Measurement

Before the introduction of modern measuring tools and enumeration systems, the Bhutanese used different kinds of scales and concepts to measure physical length, weight, volume, quantity and size. Physical length was measured using human bodily parts and time was measured through astrological periods or human activities. Volume was measured through measuring devices as was weight. Numbers were counted in scores as well as in tens and hundreds.
