Bumthangkha
Bumthangkha is primarily spoken in the four valleys of Bumthang districts and also in northern parts of the Tongsa district and western part of Mongar. The Tibetan saint traveller Longchenpa considered Mangde or modern day Tongsa as part of Bumthang perhaps because the people and language of the upper eastern part of Tongsa are the same as Bumthang. Many people of Bumthang migrated to eastern part of Tongsa in the winter. Bumthang has numerous dialects, most of which are now on the brink of disappearance.
