Rigsar New Genre

This is a genre of songs which came into existence in the later half of the 20th century in Bhutan. New lyrics in Dzongkha were composed and sung mostly in tunes adopted or modelled on Indian, Chinese and Western pop music. The lyrics are mostly about love and romantic relationship.
