Historical Lozey

Historial lozey ballads tell a stories of historical figures and their deeds. The narratives are often long and describe a journey, project or series of events. The most popular and long lozey ballads in Bhutan are of this category telling the stories of the protaganists sometimes in the first person, like an autobiographical account, and other times in the third person as a report. The composition are normally long and thus already structured and composed prior to the recitation although there are variations in the recitation.
