Condolences

Bhutan has a rich tradition of oral crafts for consoling and comiserating with others during funerals and sad occasions. The art of saying appropriate and effective words at sensitive times is generally learnt through exposure. The speech is made by the senior most person in the group and usually done in a sombre note. Such consolation are made both in public and privately and may accompany some token of condolences.
