Remedial Belief

The Bhutanese world is a very pious and spiritually oriented one. As a result, Bhutanese have a plethora of beliefs concerning all aspects of life. These beliefs, concerning astrological significance, religious faiths, natural omens, etc. often influence people's outlooks, attitudes and daily life. Some objects, occurances and events are viewed as being negative and inauspicious. These require a remedial ritual to be conducted in order to dispel the bad omen. There are numerous ways of remedying a bad belief.
