Ritual Objects Casting

Lost wax and sand casting techniques are used to make religious artefacts including the vajra, ritual dagger, cymbals, skull cups and many other things from bronze. After making the sample of the objects in wax, it is plastered with clay and liquid bronze poured through a hole. The hot metal melts away the wax and fills the empty space. When the bronze has hardened, the clay is removed and the bronze object is ready. The smiths may manually do more fine carvings on the cast object.
