Dart Throwing

Khuru is a Bhutanese dart game played by both men and women during holidays. The dart is generally made of a wooden body with a bamboo or metal point in the lower side and a feather on the top. Today, people have replaced the feather by thick plastic film and often reuse old x-ray films. The bamboo tip is also now very rare to see. The targets are set about 20 yards from each other and players are divided into two teams. A hit on the target has a higher point than the dart landing in close proximity of the target. The players perform dances when their team hit the target. Two players, one from each team, play in turn until all players have finished and points are counted.
