War Story

The Bhutanese people have a strong historical consciousness. Although there are not a great deal of literature about political history in general and war history in particular, the Bhutanese people have avid interest in their origin and past. Thus, accounts of wars and battles with foreign countries as well as fighting between different factions within the country are told with gusto. Such accounts of war form a crucial component of the historical origins and evolutions of both national sovereignty and the political structures. The war stories generally contain accounts of valour and heroism associated with the main protagonist of the story.
