Story of Valour

Bhutanese narrate historical accounts of bravery and valour shown by some historical figures in the past. Bhutanese oral histories are full of stories of people with herculean strength and also stories of the great bravery and physical power of some of the political leaders, who rose to power through their physical strength. Many of these strong men known as nyagoe were often believed to have been children from human mothers but fathered by some non-human spirits.
