Account of Representations of the Mind

The stupas in Buddhism represent the heart or mind of the Buddha. These monuments come in various shapes and often with accounts of how, where, why and when they were produced. Some are monumental structures of several dozens of height while others are tiny. The structures often come with their provenance and stories of their origin, spiritual power and the benefits of circumabulating around them. A few prominent stupas have detailed written accounts of their origin, history, purpose, internal relics and the benefit of their existence.
