Hidden Valley Narrative

Bhutan is often described as a baeyul or hidden land. It is geographically hidden from main centres of the world with very difficult access and natural fortification. It is often considered as the hidden land of Guru Rinpoche. Within Bhutan, one finds many valleys which are considered to be truly hidden in terms of access and remoteness. They are also considered hidden as many treasure are said to have been hidden by the great master Guru Rinpoche. Many valleys, such as a Baeyul Langdrak, Aja Ney, Senge Dzong, Urbae or Ura and Khenpajong are said to be hidden valleys.
