Medicinal Water Narrative

There are many springs and wells in Bhutan which are considered to possess healing powers. Such springs are normally found in an area not far from human settlement. The water of such springs and wells are considered to have healing power due to both the spiritual blessings it possesses or the material make-up of the water. The Bhutanese people go to have long bathing sessions at such springs when they are ill or on a holiday. Going for a long bathing holiday is one of the two main reasons for traditional Bhutanese to take a long break from their work, the other being pilgrimage.
