Old Bodra

The bodra genre of song and dance is one of the two main old types of songs and dances in Bhutan. This is mostly performed in circular rows and it is similar to Tibetan dance in the movements. So-called 'old bodra' consists of very old songs, most of which have their origin in Tibet. The lyrics dwell on nature, religion and auspicious topics.
