Laudatory Tsangmo

Laudatory tsangmos are sung in praise of the person to whom it is sung and also invites a laudatory tsangmo in response. In content and style, the laudatory tsangmo would use metaphors and flowery language. As a popular oral literary creation, tsangmos are used in most part of Bhutan although they are more prevalent in eastern Bhutan than the west.
