Secular Proverb

A great deal of Bhutan's moral and social inspiration and knowledge are drawn from nature and people's interaction with nature. Bhutanese also have a long history of structured community and social organisation and management. Thus, a lot of Bhutan's proverbial sayings and adages are based on the secular and worldly life and wisdom of the people. These proverbs and sayings also mostly exist in the different local vernaculars.
