Hunting
Some Bhutanese practised hunting in order to obtain the various body parts of animals and birds. While some hunters killed animals and birds to obtain their flesh for meat, many hunters killed animals for the parts of the animal body which were considered special and thus expensive. Bears were killed for bile, musk deer for musk, tigers and leopards for thier skin and elephants for their tusk. People laid traps to capture the animals or laid hidden poisoned weapons to kill an animal. Although the general populace see hunting and killing animals as a taboo, some do hunting also for fun.
