Monkey Month Offering

Preuchod is a ceremony of making offerings to Guru Rinpoche or Padmasambhava on the anniversary of his birthday in the Monkey month. This falls only the 10th of 5th Bhutanese month and offerings are made in shrinerooms and stupas on that day. In some villages, men go to collect flowers the day before and on the 10th day make offerings of various dishes to Guru Rinpoche.
