Quasi-life Story
Bhutan also shares with Tibet a great number of quasi-biographical literature which were composed and read as sources of spiritual inspiration. Although the stories are legend-laden, most traditional Bhutanese take the subject and the events in these quasi-life stories as historical truths. The stories deal with religious faith, the law of cause and effect, compassion and altruism and other spiritual values which these stories hope to inculcate in the reader. In addition to the written stories, Bhutan also has many oral accounts of quasi-historical figures. These stories mostly have a moral inspiration or message as its primary purpose and were in the past the important channels for value transmission and moral guidance.
