Words of Farewell

The Bhutanese people see off those going on a long journey with some gifts for the journey. While wishing the travellers a safe journey, the elders have practice of saying some elegant words of departure and reunion. They also say similar elegant words of farewell in order to bid goodbye to a person who is deceased.
